The Aurora Borealis Witch Camp began in 2013 by the Reclaiming Affinity Group (RAG). The ABWC is currently working with a five year theme working with the Elements of Magic: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Centre. 

 

In our first year of camp, 2014, we honoured our ancestors and the land we love, Earth. In 2015 we turned to Air with a focus on communication and song. We explored our voices and the power they contain. In the final weekend of September 2016, we worked with the cycle of Fire. We discovered severaltypes of Fire, including a connection with the world of Fae.

 

In 2017 as we worked with and for Water.  We discovered our internal Sacred Springs, and learned to listen to and nurture them to create healing for ourselves and our communities.

As always, ABWC continues to be a "slow camp." 
That means that the program schedule includes time for rest, reflection and sleeping in. Lessons and ritual are spaced out in time so as to provide the opportunity to recharge in between sessions. We believe that this allows our participants to participate more fully, and allows for deeper integration of the practice.
